Crop video.

Drag a frame over your footage, snap it to the ratio your platform wants — 9:16 for TikTok and Reels, 1:1 for feeds, 16:9 for YouTube — and export with the audio intact. Unlike other croppers, your video never uploads anywhere: it is cut right here in the browser.

✂️Drop a video to crop

MP4, WebM or MOV · crops locally with audio kept · nothing is uploaded

How it works

1

Drop your video

MP4, WebM or MOV loads instantly — there is no upload wait because there is no upload.

2

Frame the crop

Drag the box to position it, pull the corners to resize, or tap a preset — 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 4:5 — and the frame locks to that ratio with a rule-of-thirds grid to guide composition.

3

Export with audio

One click records the cropped region to MP4/WebM at up to 1080p with the original sound — then downloads automatically.

Why use this tool

True aspect presets — the exact ratios platforms demand: 16:9 YouTube, 9:16 TikTok/Reels/Shorts, 1:1 and 4:5 for feeds, 4:3 for classic.
Audio preserved — the soundtrack rides along into the export — most browser croppers silently drop it.
Zero upload — other online croppers push your footage to their servers (and their own instructions say the upload can take 10 minutes). Here the file never leaves your machine — private and instant.
No watermark, no account — the export is clean and yours, full stop.
Rule-of-thirds grid — composition guides inside the crop frame so the reframe actually looks intentional.

Every platform has decided what shape video should be, and none of them agree: YouTube wants 16:9, TikTok and Reels demand 9:16, feeds reward 1:1 and 4:5. Cropping is how one piece of footage serves all of them — reframing the action instead of letterboxing it into irrelevance. The craft is in the frame: position it on the subject, keep the ratio locked to the destination, and use the thirds grid so the recomposition holds up. This cropper gives you exactly those controls, working directly on the file in your browser.

It also completes this site\u2019s video chain: crop the frame here, convert for chat and docs with the GIF converter, and open with a title from the text animation maker. If the clip in question is your logo animation and it needs to exist in every ratio at once — our custom packages deliver 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 masters so you never crop a compromise.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping reduce video quality?

The pixels you keep are re-encoded at a high bitrate, so the kept region looks essentially identical; everything outside the frame is discarded, which is the point. Output tops out at 1080p on the long edge.

Is the audio kept?

Yes — on Chrome, Edge and Firefox the original audio track is captured into the export. If a browser cannot expose the audio stream (some Safari versions), the export completes as video-only and the status line tells you.

Why does exporting take as long as the clip?

Because the crop is performed by literally playing your video through a canvas and recording it — that is what makes zero-upload possible. A 30-second clip exports in about 30 seconds; for multi-minute footage, a desktop editor is the better tool.

What formats work?

In: MP4 (H.264), WebM, and MOV files your browser can play. Out: MP4 on Chrome and Edge, WebM elsewhere — both are accepted by every major platform and editor.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding, cropping and encoding all happen inside your browser tab. Nothing is transmitted, which is also why there are no file-size accounts or premium tiers here.
