Pro tips

  • Try before you pick: every effect card plays on your own layer, and hovering a card plays it on the full logo in the preview.
  • Lottie for websites and apps: export a Lottie JSON file and your animation stays razor sharp at any size, in a file of a few hundred KB or less. Live text and images are left out, so convert text to outlines first.
  • Grouped files split cleanly. Every shape is its own part, even inside groups, clipping masks and compound paths. Double-click a part in the Layers step to select its whole group.
  • Reading the timeline: the pale bar is when a layer is on screen. The solid band is its intro, the dotted band is the hold and the striped band is the outro. The intro always starts when the layer appears and the outro ends when it leaves, so drag a layer to move it in time, drag its ends to trim it, and drag the inner edge of a band to make the intro or outro longer or shorter.
  • A hold keeps it alive: a gentle Float or Pulse between the intro and the outro stops a finished logo from looking frozen.
  • One change, many layers: Shift-click several layers to give them all the same effect, then drag any one of them in the timeline to move, trim or reorder them together.
  • Draw effects love outlines: Draw on, Comet trace and Stitch follow the real paths. Convert text to outlines in your design app for the cleanest lines.
  • What you see is what you export: the frame is the video, pixel for pixel. Set its shape with Frame and the size of the logo with Logo size before you export.

My logo is a PNG or JPG, not an SVG. Can I still use it?

Convert it first with our free PNG to SVG converter, then load the result. Vector files are what give the studio its per-part control and razor-sharp export.

What does it export?

MP4 video in Full HD or 4K at 30 or 60 fps, an animated GIF with an optional transparent background, or a Lottie JSON file: a tiny, razor-sharp vector animation for websites and apps. The frame can be 16:9, square, 9:16 for stories and reels, or 4:5 for feeds. Every frame is rendered one at a time, so none are dropped.

My SVG is grouped. Can I animate the parts separately?

Yes. The studio splits grouped files, clipping groups and compound paths into separate parts and keeps each one exactly where it was. Group the parts into layers any way you like, or keep the groups from your design app with one click.

Do I need animation experience?
