Which files can I vectorize?
PNG, JPG and WebP up to 10 MB. Logos, icons, flat illustrations and scans give the cleanest results. Every image is traced at its full original resolution — very large photos can just take a little longer.
Will my transparent background stay transparent?
Yes — transparent PNGs are traced with a transparent SVG background automatically. If your logo sits on a plain white background, choose “Remove white background” in Advanced.
Which preset should I pick?
Logo / Flat color for logos and icons, Sketch / Line art for black-and-white drawings and scans, and Photo / Detailed for colorful artwork or photos.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens entirely on your device — you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will still work.
The SVG looks noisy or too big — what should I change?
Open Advanced: raise the Speckle filter to drop tiny shapes, lower Color precision to merge similar colors, or lower Path precision to shrink the file.
Can I vectorize a logo made with ChatGPT, Midjourney or another AI?
Yes — this is one of the most common reasons people use the tool. AI image generators output raster PNGs, so an AI-generated logo can't be scaled, printed or animated cleanly until it's converted to vector. Drop the PNG in and the tracer rebuilds it as real SVG paths. What's the difference between auto-tracing and a manual redraw?
Auto-tracing follows the pixels: it's instant and excellent on flat, clean logos. A manual redraw rebuilds the artwork from scratch in Illustrator, so curves are mathematically clean, text becomes real shapes, and gradients and fine detail survive. Choose auto-trace for a quick clean logo, and a redraw for print, embroidery, signage, or anything rebuilt from a low-resolution or scanned original.
Can you vectorize a low-quality or screenshot logo?
Auto-tracing struggles with blurry screenshots, JPEG artefacts and scans, because it traces the flaws along with the shape. That's exactly what the manual redraw is for — a designer works from your image as a reference and rebuilds it cleanly, so the result is sharp at any size even when the source isn't.
